BATERI OF GALAXY S6

Samsung Galaxy S6 – Battery life and Charging

The Samsung Galaxy S6 has a smaller battery than its predecessor – down from 2,800mAh to 2,550mAh. It's also smaller than the battery in the S6 Edge by about 2% because Samsung used a slightly different circuit board structure in each phone. The SIM-tray on the S6 Edge had to be placed at the top of the phone, which allowed Samsung to include a slightly larger battery, but the difference is minimal.
In the mornings, the phone is off the charger by about 6am and then it’s used to check the news and weather, looking through social media feeds and getting transport updates. During a 45-minute morning commute to work the S6 is connected to public WiFi and is being used to read or for viewing media.
By the time I arrive at work, the battery can drop by as much as 20%. The battery depleted about 10% an hour when used actively, sharply declining during extended periods of game playing or video watching.

TOUCH OF GALAXY S6

When a new flagship smartphone from a major manufacturer finally makes its official debut after months and months of waiting, we want that handset to be perfect – or at least, we’d like to believe it’s perfect, if only to justify all that time we spent pining away. So when it does arrive, and we’re still basking in the afterglow of a big launch event, hearing about unexpected problems with the phone can feel almost like a punch to the gut: no, not my dream phone! Well, Samsung only just introduced the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge and now we’re already hearing about a potential issue. Is it something you need to be concerned about, or is this not such a big deal?
The issue is the touchscreen input on these phones, and a seeming inability to register touches all the way up to the screen’s boundary. Samsung phones have a built-in test mode and some of the attendees at MWC thought to put the display models for a spin. The test mode can verify touchscreen input, but despite multiple attempts, the GS6 just doesn’t seem to be recognizing touches that try to go all the way up to the edge.
So what does this mean? Well, it could be a consequence of the touchscreen controller Samsung’s using, or an issue with software – and in that case, it’s possible the company could fix it before the commercial release of these phones. We’re also pretty sure we’ve seen similar behavior in other phones. And even it this does prove to be unfixable, few software UI elements require precise input this close to a screen’s edge. That is to say, it may suck – and who wants their new phone to be anything less than 100 percent perfect – but in real-world usage this could simply prove to be a non-issue.

FANTASTIC

Samsung tried to sum up the best features of the Galaxy S6 edge into a 60 second ad. Most of them are enabled by the first dual-curved display – People Edge, Edge Lightning, Night Clock, Information Stream – but also both cameras and Samsung’s charging options.
It's no secret that Samsung needed to do something big with its new phone, to unleash something to stop the rot that the Galaxy S4 began two years ago.
I just didn't expect the Samsung Galaxy S6 to be this good.

Yes, there are still some elements that prevent it from being the perfect phone (this is Samsung after all, a brand that likes to cram as much into the phone as it can get away with) but to leap to this point from the plastic-clad nonsense of theGalaxy S5 is a really, really impressive feat.
